I know I'm definitely not the only Tiny House Hunters fan out there, though I am aware that I'm in the minority when it comes to actually wanting to live a tiny lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, I don't plan on building a 200 square foot home on wheels. Maybe in another life where I didn't have kids and a zoo full of animals. But for a variety of reasons, a true tiny house is not in the plans.
However, we are definitely downsizing! Our new house will be less than half the size of our current home. Just shy of 1400 square feet, in fact. And even though I LOVE open concept living spaces, it definitely makes storage solutions a challenge.
So I come to you seeking assistance yet again. What are your favorite storage ideas? Have you seen a cool spice rack idea? Awesome recycling bin set-up? Amazing lofted bed? Built-in bookshelf and/or window seat? Please share all your ideas, photos, pinterest boards, tik-toks, etc! Clutter and mess drive me absolutely crazy, so please save my sanity and post your ideas below!
To give you a little idea of what we are working with, our home will have a small entry/mudroom, open-concept main floor, 3 small bedrooms (kids will each have their own), a tiny office, laundry closet, and 2 relatively small bathrooms. The only room that has excess storage will be our kitchen (corner pantry, large island, extra cabinetry). But since we love to buy in bulk and also can a lot of food from our garden, we are definitely still in need of a well-planned kitchen! Bonus points for cute coffee bar ideas ;)
